the vampire and the ghost

with all of the shit that’s gone missing lately, i’m beginning to think either my apartment is a black hole or this is being done on purpose. this week, I completely simplified my room, got rid of junk, stowed important things away into seward trunks, plastic totes, and suitcases I’ve inherited from family members…all because I needed to clear the bullshit and because I was searching for my prized camera bag. I never found the camera bag, but I look at my office in its pristine state and i’m overjoyed with the clutter I’ve done away with for good. to have a dumpster right next to your apartment is only one more good reason to do away with unnecessary histories. as I sifted through blacked out journals, 5 am sketches, placed photos in albums, and blew the dust off of items I forgot what mental memories I had; I wanted something new to replace all of those unneeded objects taking up space and residing in my life. it’s almost as if everything I wanted to find is still a reward at the end of a scavenger hunt while everything I wanted to forget is waiting to be kissed goodbye. I hope I find my phone. I hope I find my camera bag. I hope I never need materials to solidify my memories ever again.
Ugh, I love us. :) hanging out with you, adoring you, and being your mama is an honor and a privilege.
